Jamnagar: Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni was caught playing Dandiya with his wife Sakshi Singh Sarat and former Indian Premier League (IPL) teammate Dwayne Bravo at the pre-wedding bash of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, the video of which went viral on social media. Dhoni and Bravo are among some of the notable cricket personalities who have been invited to the three-day gala event.
Clad in traditional attire coupled with sneakers, Dhoni was seen enjoying the moment with Bravo and his wife. Notably, Bravo had played under Dhoni at Chennai Super Kings in IPL, helping the team win several titles. Former West Indies all-rounder, Bravo, chose a yellow outfit for the occasion.

Meanwhile, Dhoni will be soon in action at the CSK’s pre-season training camp, that kick-started on Saturday. With the wedding festivities ending on March 3, Dhoni expected to join his teammates next week. Although the overseas and all the India internationals are yet to join, the first day of training saw a host of local talents along with Ruturaj Gaikwad and Deepak Chahar.
“The first batch of local (Indian) players arrived on Friday and more are expected to arrive in the coming days,” a Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) official told PTI. Chahar and Gaikwad hogged the limelight on the opening day.
While Gaikwad is coming after a good domestic season, Chahar is taking IPL 2024 as a pathway to make an India comeback. The right-arm pace bowler has opted out of the home T20I series against Australia and also missed India’s tour of South Africa due to his father’s illness. Post that Chahar went to NCA and is being declared fully fit.
Talking about CSK’s squad for IPL 2024, the five-time champions have bought six players with New Zealand duo of Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell grabbing most of the spotlight. CSK have also secured the services of all-rounder Shardul Thakur and spent a huge Rs. 8.40 crore for uncapped batter Sameer Rizvi from Uttar Pradesh.
