Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Team India to Land in Delhi From Barbados After T20 WC 2024 Win at THIS Time

Barbados: The Rohit Sharma-led Team India has not returned back home after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 from Barbados. The delay has happened because of a weather situation. There is a hurricane storm alert in Barbados and that has stranded the Indian team. But the latest report suggest that the team will board a special flight arranged by the BCCI today at around 6 PM local time. The team would land in Delhi on Wednesday at 7:45 PM IST. Now that the time of Team India’s arrival has been revealed, surely there is going to be a massive fanfare outside the Indira Gandhi International airport.

Also, the Barbados PM says she expects airport to open in next 6 to 12 hours.

Meanwhile, the ICC has revealed it’s ‘team of the tournament’. While six Indian stars have found a spot in the XI, premier batter Virat Kohli has missed out. Players from four different nations have been named in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Team of the Tournament.

Champions India provide six players, including captain Rohit Sharma, who will captain this team, and Player of the Tournament Jasprit Bumrah.

Three players from Afghanistan make the cut following a breakthrough run to the semi-finals.

The selection panel consisted of commentators Harsha Bhogle, Ian Bishop and Kass Naidoo and ICC General Manager of Cricket Wasim Khan.

ICC Team of The Tournament
Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh (all Indians); Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Rashid Khan, Fazalhaq Farooqi (Afghanistan); Marcus Stoinis (Australia) and Nicholas Pooran (West Indies); 12th man: Anrich Nortje.
