IND vs ENG 3rd Test: Shubman Gill Misses Ton After Being Run-Out On Day 4 | WATCH

New Delhi: India star batter Shubman Gill got an unlucky dismissal on Day four of the ongoing third Test match against England at the Niranjan Shah Stadium Rajkot. The batter was playing on 91 runs. This is the second time in the same Test match that a batter got dismissed because of a run-out.

In the last ball of 64th over, Kuldeep stepped out to take on Tom Hartley he smacked the ball on the mid-on region. As Kuldeep was already a long way down the pitch, took another couple of steps towards the other end, encouraging the batter at the non-striker’s end to go for the single.

Ben Stokes collected the ball and threw it towards the non-striker’s end. Gill was already a long way down the track and was a bit late in realizing it. Here is the clip how Shubman got departed:

At this point of time Sarfaraz Khan and Yashasvi Jaiswal are currently playing and India is leading by 425 runs and there is a good news for team that Ravichandran Ashwin will join the Indian squad on Day four this means he will be available for the rest of the series.

“The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is pleased to announce the return of R Ashwin to the squad after a brief absence due to a family emergency. Ashwin, had to temporarily withdraw from the squad after Day 2 of the 3rd Test in Rajkot to attend to a family emergency,” BCCI stated on Sunday.
The statement also confirmed that Ashwin will come back to action on day four of the third Test match in Rajkot.

“Both R Ashwin and the team management are pleased to confirm that he will be back in action on Day 4 and will continue to contribute towards the team cause in the ongoing Test match,” it added.

“The team management, players, media and fans have shown immense understanding and empathy, acknowledging the importance of family as a priority. The team and its supporters have stood united in support of Ashwin during this challenging period, and the management is delighted to welcome him back to the field. Ashwin and his family kindly request privacy as they navigate through these challenging times,” the statement concluded.
